digging for fire
After a couple of weeks off, we’re back in the rehearsal studio this weekend. JM has demanded in his diva fashion that we pluck an old song of mine from the ground to use. I demo’d this particular track about 5 years ago, having never intended it to be a WBW track and this now presents a bit of a problem for me: I already know what this song sounds like. The musicianship on the demo i recorded isn’t amazing but the way i played all the instruments is how i think the song should sound. And it will sound different when WBW pay it. I don’t know how to feel about it as i get a bit precious about some of the songs I write, especially if I have recorded them and really don’t like it when they don’t sound how I had already set out. But it will be great to play it with a band.
